Rio Rancho Aquatic Center

The Rio Rancho Aquatic Center is open year round. Summer hours run from May 27 to August 10. The center will be closed for the following holidays: May 25, June 2 (open at 2 p.m.), July 4, July 7 (open at 2 p.m.). The Aquatic Center closes the first Monday of every month until 2 p.m. for regular pool maintenance.
Recreational swimming is open to anyone and the diving boards are open.

Lap swims are for adults only. The number of available lanes varies throughout the day, and only two lap lanes are available from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Haynes outdoor pool has a water slide and water spray.
Haynes is open May 24 to August 17. Hours are 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday - Saturday. From August 18 through September 1, Haynes is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Lap swimming is available during open hours.

The Rainbow Pool has some extra water features, such as water spray and a slide. The Rainbow Pool will be open May 24 through August 17. Hours are 12 pm. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Saturday. Senior hour is 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday through Friday. Lap swims are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Family swims are Thursdays from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., with half price admission. Aqua Fitness takes place Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Rio Rancho Aquatic Center can be rented after hours at a cost of $250. This includes up to 75 people and a party room.
The outdoor pools can be rentued for two hours for up to 75 participants, for $225. Each additional half hour is $50. Each additional 25 participants is $50.

Rio Rancho Aquatics offers swimming lessons for ages 6 months through adults. The learn to swim program is a popular summer option. Swim lesson registration is ongoing at the Parks and Recreation office in City Hall, and at the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center.
Rio Rancho Aquatics offers a variety of fitness classes, to include aqua zumba, aquacise, and aqua therapy.
Indoor group cycling is also available.
A metro swim team is available for those who have been in swim lessons, and are ages 6 to 14.
