Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
The Fourth of July Freedom Fest is one of Fairmont Scottsdale Princess' signature "Legacy Events," a series of memorable special events presented each year for the local community and resort guests. The event, which happens between June 29 and July 4, 2018, features a vintage air show, tribute band concerts, six nights of fireworks, all-American fare, military tributes, and poolside fun.
Vintage Air Shows
On July 4, more than 28 vintage military aircraft that flew in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam will fly over the resort, piloted by retired veterans. The air show concludes with a military parachutist from the All Veterans Parachute Team soaring through the skies and landing with American and military flags.
Dance and celebrate with live music under the stars at the Princess Lagoon Lawn. The Freedom Fest tribute concerts, with a patriotic introduction and fireworks intermission, will occur three consecutive nights from July 2 to July 4.
Red, White, and BOOM is The Wigwam's Fourth of July celebration on the Blue Golf Course from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with fireworks to follow (weather permitting). Admission is free to the firework show on the first fairway of the Patriot Golf Course. The event also features live DJ entertainment, a Kid Zone with bounce houses, water slides, as well as arts and crafts stations. You can purchase wristbands for unlimited rides and activities; active military can get a discount.
Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch
The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch includes a 2.5-acre water playground with 10 swimming pools, a three-story waterslide, a sandy beach. If you want some exercise, head to the 28-foot rock climbing wall or play a few rounds at the 27-hole championship golf course.

From July 2 to July 5, the Hyatt will host its own Fourth of July fest. Beachside, there will be waterslide races, watermelon-eating contests, face-painting, a dive-in movie at the pool, patriotic photo booth, live music, and a guacamole-making class. The Phoenix Herpetological Society will have a snake show for its animal-loving guests. The celebration peaks with the Red, White & Blue BBQ Picnic and fireworks on July 4.
In 2018, The Phoenician completed a major renovation, opening a sparkling new spa, fitness center, and updated pool area. The redesign comes just in time for the Fourth of July events happening on July 6 and July 7. Fireworks will light up the night sky on July 6, and the following day the Arizona Skyhawks Parachute Team will have an aerial performance. For kids, there will be an indoor carnival with an inflatable obstacle course, games, face-painting, balloon art, crafts, and more.
Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass
The Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, located on the Gila River Indian Community, is a total destination resort showcasing the heritage, culture, art, and legends of the Pima and Maricopa Tribes.
