Bring in 2015 with these New Year's Eve holiday activities, events, and shows in Reno and Sparks. Activities include parties at casinos and nightclubs across the Truckee Meadows, plus dining specials and fireworks at midnight in downtown Reno. New Year's Fireworks in Downtown Reno

Reno's New Year's fireworks show is sponsored by the downtown hotel casinos and the City of Reno. Be downtown at midnight for a spectacular fireworks display and fun street party to bring in 2015 with lots of big bangs. The fireworks party centers around the Reno Arch and runs from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. The fireworks show lasts about 15 minutes and is launched from casino rooftops, giving partiers spectacular viewing from every angle.

New Year's Eve Events and Parties at Casinos and Restaurants

New Year's Eve at the Eldorado - Big New Year's Eve party at the Eldorado will be in The Crystal Ballroom, Brew Brothers, Roxy's Bar and Lounge, Cin Cin, and BuBinga Lounge. The Bollywood show "Mystic India" will be playing in the Eldorado Showroom. The Eldorado is at 345 N. Virginia Street in Reno. For more information or to reserve seats, call (775) 786-5700.

Outside on Virginia Street, celebrate New Year's with the downtown Reno fireworks spectacular at midnight. The Eldorado and other Reno casinos will be rocketing hundreds of pyrotechnics from the rooftops to ring in 2015.

Rockin' the Dome Dance Party at the Silver Legacy - Count down to 2015 at the best party in downtown Reno. We are Rockin' the Dome on New Year's Eve with live entertainment, dancing, and a spectacular midnight countdown and fireworks show at midnight. The 21+ party starts at 10 p.m. and tickets are $40. Admission gets you one drink, party favors, and a champagne toast at midnight. The Silver Legacy is at 407 N. Virginia Street in Reno.

New Year's Eve at The Nugget in Sparks - All of the restaurants offer specially prepared New Year's meals and the Celebrity Showroom will feature a dinner show with live entertainment (Jay White Neil Diamond Tribute). New Year's Eve at the Peppermill Hotel Casino - The Peppermill will have its main New Year's Eve party in the Capri Ballroom, from 9:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. There will be live music from the Maxxt Outt, dancing, mingling, cocktails and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $65 per person and can be purchased online. The Peppermill is at 2707 S. Virginia Street in Reno.

Other parties at the Peppermill will be at EDGE nightspot and The Terrace. There will be a free party on the casino floor from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with free champagne and party favors.

New Year's Eve at the Grand Sierra Resort - The Summit Pavilion will be the location for the Grand Sierra's New Year's Eve party from 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m., featuring live dance music, two drink tickets, a midnight champagne toast, and more. Tickets are $44.95

Come to the Grand Sierra for The Black Tie Affair at LEX Nightclub. The party starts at 10 p.m. and ticket prices vary. Check the Grand Sierra events for details. The Grand Sierra is at 2500 E. 2nd Street in Reno.

New Year's Eve at The Knit - On New Year's Eve, the Knitting Factory's party will AMP The New Year with Amplified DJs. New Year's Eve Chef's Dinner at The Wild River Grille in Reno - New Year's Eve at the Wild River Grille will feature a four course gourmet dinner and complimentary glass of champagne. New Year's Eve at Boomtown in Reno - Boomtown Casino Hotel will serve champagne and cake starting at 12 noon. New Year's Around the World at the Sands Regency in Reno - Starting at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014, The Sands will be ringing in New Years Around the world with drawings every hour until 11 p.m., with prizes ranging between $100 in FreePlay to $1000 in cash. New Year's Eve Party at Great Basin Brewing Company - Great Basin's annual New Year's Eve party / concert will feature Tyler Stafford and The Novelists. New Year's Eve at Cargo in the Whitney Peak Hotel - The New Year's Eve show will feature Apple Z and starts at 10 p.m. The show is for ages 18 and up. Tickets are $10. Free New Year's Eve Safe RIDE Home Program

Between 6 p.m. New Year's Eve and 2 a.m. New Year's Day, RTC will be offering free rides on RTC RIDE, RTC RAPID, and RTC RAPIDCONNECT around the Reno / Sparks area. Just hop on board - no ticket required. The 4th Street Station in Reno is at the corner of Lake and 4th Streets. RTC Centennial Plaza in Sparks is at the west end of Victorian Square in Sparks. Reno's downtown bus system, RTC SIERRA SPIRIT, will be running its regular schedule on New Year's Eve. Call (775) 348-RIDE (348-7433) for assistance and more information.

"Tipsy Tow" from AAA

AAA will be offering "Tipsy Tow" from 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve through 6 a.m. New Year's Day. Call 800-222-4357 (AAA-HELP) and tell the operator "I need a Tipsy Tow," and your vehicle will be towed up to 10 miles free of charge. Additional passengers can also catch a ride depending on space available in the tow truck. You do not need to be a AAA member to use this service.

Multi-Faith New Year's Eve Service

Representative from various religions will bring in the New Year event hosted by Reno Buddhist Center. The service will include prayers by Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Baha'i, and Native American leaders. The event is free and will be from 10:30 p.m. to 12 midnight.
