Craft fairs and harvest festivals are a good way to get a head start on holiday shopping. You can find good deals and buying locally made art and craft items keeps your dollars circulating right here in our own neighborhood.
Friday and Saturday, November 21, 22 - This fair will be at the Reno - Sparks Indian Colony, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Shop for handmade arts and crafts, jewelry, baked goods, quilts, and enter the raffle.

Saturday and Sunday, November 22, 23 - Tanner's Marketplace is a show and sale of antiques, collectibles, crafts, and more. It will be at the Reno - Sparks Livestock Events Center, 1350 N. Wells Avenue in Reno. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students. Children under 16 are free and so is parking. Saturday, November 22 - Come to Nevada Humane Society for this fall holiday arts and crafts fair. The event will feature a wide variety of local vendors selling handcrafted art, jewelry, and many pet related gifts and pet supplies that will make great holiday gifts for the animal lovers on your shopping list. Artists who participate will be contributing a percentage of their sales to help the homeless pets at Nevada Humane Society.

Saturday, November 22 - Celebrate the start of the holiday season at the historic Lake Mansion at a one day family festival for all ages. Children participate in eight hands-on art workshops, visit with Santa (bring your camera), interact with a storyteller, and take home a book for their own library.
All visitors see, hear and touch Reno's past during tours of the 1877 Lake Mansion and enjoy a unique selection of arts and crafts for your own home or to give as gifts. Saturday, November 22 - Kick off the holiday season at The Summit Reno with Whitney Myer and Mr. and Mrs. Claus in the Holiday Plaza between Vans and Tilly’s. Sponsored by Renown Children's Hospital, the event will be a holiday party with music, Santa's arrival, giveaways, enter-to-win prize packages, tree-lighting magic and a big fireworks show. The event is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Summit is in south Reno at the corner of S. Virginia Street and the Mt. Rose Highway.
Through December 24 - Enjoy an exhibit and sale of unique fine art and gifts created by VSAN's teaching artists being held at the historic Lake Mansion. It's your chance to tour the mansion while enjoying art pieces and gifts including handmade tree ornaments, cards, jewelry, watercolor, collage pieces, teacup candles, fine art photography, ceramic mugs and vases and more.

Saturday and Sunday, December 6, 7 - This big show will be at the Reno - Sparks Livestock Events Center, 1350 Wells Avenue in Reno.
There will be over 80 crafters with thousands of handcrafted gifts. Hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $4 per person, free for kids under 12. Get $1 off admission by donating a can of food for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada or Evelyn Mount Community Outreach. Parking is free.
