Between the long lines, the heavy bags, and the person sneezing next to you, air travel is stressful. Fortunately, more airports are adding spas geared towards on-the-go travelers. No advance appointment needed!
Most major airports offer chair massage at open kiosks or in full-service spas. You sit fully clothed in a special chair that cradles your face while the massage therapist works on your back and shoulders. You can get a chair massage for as short as 10 or 15 minutes. This is a great way to work out kinks before they turn into hard knots!
Airport spas are also a great way to spend your time during long layovers or unexpected delays. Here are some of the options that are out for travelers who want more than a chair massage.
XpresSpa is the most commonly found airport spa, currently with 56 locations in 22 major airports and more locations coming. Its full-service spas offer full-body massage and facials in private treatment rooms, along with manicures, pedicures, blow-drys, cuts and facial waxing.
