Since 1958, the World's Largest Rattlesnake Round-Up has been held in Sweetwater, Texas and sponsored by the Sweetwater Jaycees. The Round-Up is held annually on the 2nd weekend in March at the Nolan County Coliseum.

Yet, somehow, The Rattlesnake Roundup in Sweetwater Texas has become quite a draw and has grown over its 18-year history.
Visitors to the Sweetwater Rattlesnake Roundup can choose from a great number of snake-themed things to do. The Rattlesnake Review Parade snakes its way through downtown Sweetwater. In the evening, treat yourself to a Miss Snakecharmer Pageant. If you want to see snakes, attend the early morning weigh-in for the World's Largest Rattlesnake competition, go on a guided snake hunt or watch snake-handling demonstrations. Or, stay away from reptilian delights and enjoy the chili and brisket cook-off.
