Pumpkin Patches in the Oklahoma City Area

When fall arrives and everyone prepares for Halloween, many metro residents visit the Oklahoma City pumpkin patches to pick out that perfect holiday pumpkin and enjoy the fun family activities such as hay rides and petting zoos. Here is a list of area pumpkin patches, with contact information and details on each.

  • Busy Bee

    Hours: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturdays; closed Wednesdays and Sundays
    About: Opened in 2003, Busy Bee now features even more than pumpkins.  You can get fresh honey, produce and craft items. 
     
  • Chester's Party Barn & Farm

    Hours: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays, 1-6 p.m. Sundays
    About: Longtime Oklahoma entertainers, "Chester" and his wife host a fall pumpkin patch that costs $10 admission for kids 1-10 and $6 for those 11-64.  Admission includes a pumpkin, hayride, petting zoo, slide, pony rides and more.
     
  • Chickasha Corn Maize at Reding Farm

    Hours: Reservations only Tuesdays-Thursdays, 6-10 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Saturdays, 1-6 p.m. Sundays
    About:  Sure, there are pumpkins, but this attraction has quite a bit more, including the largest corn maize in Oklahoma.  Tickets for various activities such as hayrides and cow train are sold individually.  There's a Haunted Maize / Harvest of Fear around Halloween, and visitors can have bonfires or camp in a tent.

    About: This popular metro attraction has a pumpkin patch each fall season, as well as hayrides, corn maze and more.
     
  • Parkhurst Pumpkin Patch

    Hours: 1-6 p.m. Thursdays, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Fridays through Sundays
    About: East of Edmond is a farm the owners call "low-tech, high family fun."  General admission is $8 ($7 on Thursdays), and visitors can enjoy hayrides, petting zoo, corn maze and more.  For an additional charge, feed the animals or take a pony ride.
     
  • Shelden's Pumpkin Corner
    5th and Broadway (Edmond)
    Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Sundays until October 31st
    About: Just down the street from the UCO Jazz Lab each fall is Shelden's Pumpkin Corner, a place to get your pumpkin for the season.
     
  • St. Matthew United Methodist Pumpkin Patch

    About: According to organizers, the St. Matthew United Methodist Pumpkin Patch has been going on for 20 years.  And 100% of the profits go to support local missions and ministries such as the Mid-Del Food Pantry, the Mid-Del Emergency Youth Shelter and RSVP Provide-A-Ride.
     
  • TG Farms

    About: For $10 admission (or purchase a season pass for $24.95), visitors get their choice of a pumpkin, as well as fun activities such as hayrides, petting zoo, mazes and tricycle races.  The general store has produce and fall decorations for purchase.
