Prescott Carlson is a former writer with TripSavvy. He is a Chicago native who lives and breathes all things in the Windy City. He contributed numerous articles for Chicago visitors and locals to TripSavvy over almost six years time and has written insider travel guides to the city at Chicagoist.

Prescott has taken part in almost all Chicago has to offer, from adventures as a child and working in its premier nightclubs, to owning a restaurant and introducing his sons to the city's wonders. He has lived, worked, loved, lost, laughed and cried on Chicago's north, south, and west sides and knows the city inside and out. 


Prescott attended Columbia College in downtown Chicago. His real-life education came from renting his own small studio apartment within walking distance of Lake Michigan and Wrigley Field when he was quite young.
