Do you need to drop off an important letter in Phoenix that must be postmarked today, but you missed the local cutoff time? If it is very important to meet a deadline, such as filing a legal document or making a payment, you can get that item postmarked until 9 p.m. at:

U.S. Post Office
General Mail Facility
4949 E Van Buren, Room 187
Phoenix, AZ 85026-9998

The Customer Service Window accepts mail for same day postmark until 9 p.m. on Monday through Friday (except postal holidays). The window is on Van Buren Street, just east of 48th Street.

Where to Find Postal Services on Saturdays

You can buy stamps at just about every major grocery chain, pharmacy chain and even at some banks. But if you are looking for other mail services you might have to find a post office or approved satellite office that is open late or on weekends.

Use the location tool from the U.S. Postal Service to find postal services near you. Enter your zip code and how many miles you are willing to travel. Use the drop down to define what you are looking for.

Find Collection Box Hours

Using that same tool, select Collection Boxes, enter your zip code and press the search button. You'll be shown the blue collection boxes in your area, and what the hours for pickup at that collection box are.

Filing Income Tax Documents With a Later Postmark

If you are looking for any special hours for late postmarks because it is the last day to file your Income taxes, there might be extended hours or other locations.
