Santa is all over the place in Orlando during the Christmas season. You can meet him and get your photo taken (or take your own pictures) at resorts, at the Central Florida Zoo, on the streets of Winter Park and at several Orlando malls. At the malls you should be ready to wait if you don't book ahead of time; this is especially true on the weekends. Check out these possibilities and maybe let him check that Christmas list twice in more than one visit.

Gaylord Palms Resort does Christmas up in style, and you might forget you are in Central Florida with all the ice and snow around the resort. ICE! showcases Christmas around the world, "Cirque Dreams" has new acts, and there's snow tubing at Alpine Village with real snow. Then there's Santa's Snow Throw and Mrs. Claus's Christmas traditions. And of course, you can have your photo taken with Santa. This happens from Nov. 21 to Dec. 24.

You can catch up with Santa at his chalet on Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs Marketplace from Nov. 10 through Dec. 24. The highlight of the day for this old elf is getting his photo taken with your kids and hearing their Christmas lists.

Santa Claus is joining the animals at the Central Florida Zoo from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 9. The kids can write their letters to Santa at the Letter Writing Station and then give Santa an earful, along with getting their picture taken with him. Mrs. Claus will be there, too, telling stories at 10:30 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.

Winter Park is getting a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. They will be riding through the streets in their sleigh on the evenings of Dec. 11 through Dec. 14 and Dec. 18. They'll make stops in various neighborhoods, and that's a great time to snap of photo of the two of them. Check the website for specific times and places they will make their stops so you won't miss them.

Santa will be at Hollyville in the Mall at Millenia with a jolly laugh and a welcoming lap from Nov. 3 through Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, during regular mall hours. You can buy a photo package or take your own pictures, which is limited to three photos. The closer it gets to Christmas, the longer the wait and the mall advises that you might have to wait five hours on weekends close to Christmas. The busiest time is on Sunday mornings.

Santa has touched down at Florida Mall, and you can find him in Center Court, where he is appropriately holding court during the mall's regular holiday hours Dec. 1 through Dec. 23. And naturally, Santa will be delighted to have his photo taken with your kids.

Santa is so busy at Fashion Square Mall that he suggests you book your visit ahead of time so your kids won't have to wait so long for that chance to have photos taken and sit on his lap with Christmas list in hand. He'll be there every day from Dec. 1 through Dec. 24 during mall hours. On Dec. 8, the kids are invited to a pajama party with Santa from 5 to 8 p.m.
