Paul Oswell has been a freelance travel writer since 1999. Oswell began working for U.K. titles such as The Guardian and The Times before moving to the States in 2012. Since then, Oswell has written regularly for Travel + Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler, as well as Dorling Kindersley travel guides, specializing in the Deep South and the United States. Oswell began contributing to TripSavvy in 2020 and has written for publications including The Guardian, Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, The Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Daily Mail, The Sunday Times, The Irish Times, The Evening Standard, The Mail on Sunday, The Sunday Times Travel Magazine, United Airlines Magazine, Luxury Travel Magazine, Conference and Incentive Travel Magazine, British Airways High Life Magazine, Wizz Air Magazine, and Atlanta Magazine.

Education

Oswell graduated from the University of East Anglia in 1994 with a B.A. (Honors) in English and was deputy editor of the student magazine, Insight.
