Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge, Winter Garden, Florida, boasts “two of the finest public golf courses Orlando Florida has to offer... and, of course, that's absolutely true. Orange County National does have 45 golf holes, on 922 acres of unspoiled rolling terrain, but is that enough? Yes, we think it is. Two championship courses, a 9 hole short course, several onsite instruction schools and the largest driving range and practice facility in America, all at one location, make Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge quite special, even in a land where great golf courses abound.

Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge offers “Pure Golf," the way it was meant to be played, in peace and tranquility with nothing to distract your game except the rugged natural beauty of your surroundings.” The golf center seems to be remote, miles from anywhere, and yet you’ll be within a few miles of Disney World and all the fabulous entertainment Orlando has to offer.

Orange County National Golf Center Lodge offers guests and players the opportunity stay of the property instead of traveling in from one of Orlando’s Hotels.

The Golf Courses

The Panther Lake Course at the Orange County National Golf Center & Lodge facility is an 18-hole, championship layout of 7,295 yards from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 75.7 and the slope is 137. Designed by Phil Ritson/Dave Harman/Isao Aoki, the Panther Lake opened for play in 1997.

The Crooked Cat Golf Course at the Orange County National Golf Center & Lodge facility is also an 18-hole, championship layout that’s only a few yards shorter than its peer, Panther Lake. Crooked Cat plays 7,278 yards from the tips for a par of 72. The course rating is 75.4 and the slope is 140. Designed by Phil Ritson/Dave Harman/Isao Aoki, the Crooked Cat golf course opened in 1997.

Which of these two great courses is best is a matter of personal taste. Either one offers a great round of golf, and you don’t need to be a great player to enjoy Orange County National; you just have to Love Golf.

The Practice Facility

The practice facility like the one at Orange County is hard to come by at other clubs. The range spans 42 acres and boasts a 360-degree hitting area with 600 total tee spaces and “more targets to aim at than a darts convention.”

How to Get There

The closest regional airport is Orlando International Airport. The airport is served by all major US airlines, including United, Delta, Continental, US Air, AirTran, American, and Northwest, and by Air Canada and major airlines from Europe and the United Kingdom.
