Arguably one of the most beautiful golf courses in Southern California, Oak Quarry in Riverside is a stunning, 18-hole par 72 championship layout designed by the team of Dr. Gil Morgan, Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley. The golf course plays a little longer than 7,000 yards from the back tees with a course rating of 73.9 and a slope of 137. Named the CGCOA's (The California Golf Course Owners Association) 2011 Course of the Year, this amazingly picturesque tract winds through the rugged landscape of Jensen Quarry, a one-time cement mine.

The course first opened for play in 2000 and, from then on, has earned one accolade after another, including "Best Course Inland Southern California," number 25 in "The Top 100 U.S. Courses" by golflinks.com, one of the "Top 10 Must Play List" by the Los Angeles Times, and a 4.5 Stars Rating by Golf Digest "2010/2011 Best Places to Play."

Oak Quarry is a public access golf course designed to suit most golfers, including beginners and those with high handicaps: four sets of tee boxes are provided to test every skill level. The greens are quick, not easy to read and are set with Pennlinks Bentgrass. The fairways and landing areas are fairly generous thus, while the course played from the tips can be a bit of test, from the the Regular Tees in plays a manageable 6,600 yards and will provide a very enjoyable and scenic day of golf. If you get the chance to play Oak Quarry, you should grab it.

Green Fees: On Monday through Thursday you can expect to pay $65 for 18 holes; on Friday the fee is $75; Weekend play is $95. The use of a cart is included.
