The Church, located at One East 29th Street (Between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue), is also known as the Actor's Church, which was one of the reasons they were so cooperative for filming. The chapel scenes where Samantha talks to Friar Fuck are on the righthand side, inside the church. There were also scenes filmed on the nearby sidewalk.

The Louis K. Meisel Gallery, at 141 Prince Street in lower Manhattan, was used as the gallery where Charlotte worked in season one (before she met Tray). There is a memorable scene where Carrie and the girls are at a show featuring a famous artist's work of vagina paintings. Due to rising prices for a day of shooting ($18K for the first time, $28K for the second time, and an offer of $37K for the third time), the storyline led to Charlotte no longer working there.
