Another feather in Jean-Georges Vongeritchen's cap, this West Village gem, near the Hudson River, serves up New American cuisine that cites French and Asian influences. Minimalist decor meets subtle yet flavorful dishes from Chef Cedric Vongerichten like slow-cooked salmon with ginger chili sauce, baby bok choy, and mint; or crispy fried chicken with corn, scallions, and smoked chicken jus. Opened in May 2014, French eatery Claudette proposes Mediterranean-inspired dishes just steps from Washington Square Park.
