If you like the feeling of surf and the sun on your naked skin, visit the resorts and beaches along the French Atlantic coast. The naturist resorts where you go totally nude start near the mouth of the Gironde river, go past the Bay d’Arcachon, then down towards Biarritz.
All the nudest resorts here are very well organized and are designed to make you feel comfortable. The staff speaks a variety of languages. There are good restroom and washing facilities right off the beach, plus kid’s clubs, organized sports, entertainment, restaurants, and bars.
When it comes to the beach, you may feel a bit self-conscious when you first strip down, but don't worry. Everybody here goes naked—the stretch of beach along this coastline is virtually one long nudist beach. Every size and shape of body is here. So give it a try; you'll be amazed how free you feel lying nude in the sun and getting a tan without any of those bikini lines.

WebsiteCHM-Montalivet (CHM stands for Centre Hélio-Marin) was the world's first naturist holiday resort. It opened in 1950 and was the place where the International Naturist Federation (FNI/INF) was founded.
It’s a beautiful site, located in the Gironde on the Atlantic Ocean, with more than a mile of naturist beach on offer. Laid-out like a village, the resort offers 573 camping spaces (for tents, cars, and caravans) in well-shaded spots under the trees, a swimming pool, sauna, sports fields, and a shop. There's also free WiFi. And this being France, the dining opportunities are pretty good, with everything from pizzerias and snack bars to a tapas spot and a gastronomic restaurant set beside the dunes. It’s a very family-orientated place with many guests returning year after year.
