The cruise ship has 12 diverse dining options spread throughout the ship, and passengers can dine whenever and wherever the mood strikes them. You can even dine in a different restaurant each night! Flat screen TVs scattered around the ship show the availability of each restaurant and are a useful tracking tool for planning your dinner. The Norwegian Pearl's restaurants feature tables with open seating for two to ten persons, and most are open between 5:30 and 10:00 pm for dinner. Some restaurants have a cover charge. Freestyle cruising dress also applies on the Norwegian Pearl. Resort casual is the standard attire, but passengers are always welcome to dress up if they wish. The 250 connecting cabins on the Norwegian Pearl are perfect for family groups. In addition, many cabins have pull-down berths or trundle beds, so that three or four people can share the same cabin. All cabins include flat screen TVs, tea/coffee makers, high-speed Internet connection, and private bath with shower. Some have a separate tub or tub/shower combination. Some suites even have a window over the tub, where you can bathe and enjoy the seascapes at the same time. The cabins and suites are contemporary in design, and have wonderful, bright colors that look very festive. Let's take a look at some of the many cabin or suite options on the Norwegian Pearl cruise ship. Television personality Rosie O'Donnell had the honor of being the Norwegian Pearl's godmother, and she performed her responsibilities well. Over 2400 guests, comprised mostly of NCL executives, Star Cruises executives, travel agents, and VIPs welcomed the cruise ship. The naming of the Norwegian Pearl kicks off a year-long birthday party for NCL as the cruise line celebrates its 40th anniversary of cruising. The Norwegian Pearl carries 2394 passengers and is almost identical to the Norwegian Jewel, except for a few interesting additions such as the 4-lane, 10-pin bowling alley - the first on a cruise ship. Other new features on the Pearl are (1) two new mega-luxury suites on deck 15, (2) a revamped Garden Cafe, (3) upgraded sun chairs and sun beds on the deck, and (4) more connecting staterooms.
