The Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival brings artists and art lovers together on the streets of Reston Town Center to enjoy a wide range of art including hand crafted, one of a kind artwork, contemporary and original performances, artist demonstrations, acclaimed children’s activities, and live music. Over 200 master artisans in 16 different categories, including ceramics, digital and multi-media art, drawing, fiber/textiles, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media 2D, mixed media 3D, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and wood.


Dates and Times: May 20-21, 2017,  Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Admission to the Festival is free, however there is a suggested voluntary donation of $5 to Greater Reston Arts Center (GRACE) at the event. Visitors will receive discount coupons to dine at participating Reston Town Center restaurants. Donation proceeds benefit year round educational and outreach programs produced by GRACE throughout the Northern Virginia area.

GRACE will kick off the weekend festivities with an Opening Night Party on Friday at 6 p.m. Held in the heart of the Reston Town Center at the Town Center Pavilion, the party is an opportunity for art lovers, sponsors, media, donors, and for the public to meet artists. The party will feature a silent auction, signature cocktails, and local prominent business leaders and elected officials. Tickets are required and are available for purchase at

The Town Center is located just off of the Dulles Toll Road/Route 267 (exit 12), 20 minutes west of Washington, DC; 10 minutes east of Dulles Airport. Free parking is available. The closest Metro station is Wiehle-Reston East. From the station, take an 8-minute bus ride that runs every 20 minutes on weekends.

Family Art Park
Reston Town Square Park will be transformed into a family-centered zone that includes the  Children’s Art Tent, a public art project, face painting, and a family “Chill-Out” tent, as well as other fun activities. The theme in the Children’s Art Tent is "Art and Science STEAMing Along Together, "encouraging families to discover what happens when you add Art to STEM – it creates STEAM.  Children of all ages can explore the intersection of art and science, and learn how the two can work together to create exciting art.  Hands-on art activities include Magnetic Painting, Wacky Mobile, Fun Architecture and Spinny Tops.  The Family Art Park is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and is free to the public.
