If you are interested in an evening's entertainment of the adult variety, you will find that New Zealand has a rather small number of places to visit. Not surprisingly, Auckland offers the greatest selection, but there are still relatively few to choose from. Outside the main cities, the options are virtually non-existent. Although public clubs may be sparse, it also should be noted that prostitution is legal in New Zealand.

These adult and swinger clubs in New Zealand are organized by city from north to south.

Describing itself as Auckland's most "stylish" erotic club, CCK Lounge Bar is a small and relatively intimate venue with a limited number of rooms. A high standard of dress is expected, and there is a strict admission policy for couples and single females only. Single men may only enter on Wednesday nights.

This small club has something of a mixed reputation. It is notable for being the only club to allow single men every night it is open, and offers the use of its showers to patrons.

The Desire Love Motel is based on the South American and Asian model of renting rooms to couples only, by the hour. The rooms come complete with jacuzzis and spa baths, adding to their romantic factor. Although not strictly an adult club, it does host regular party nights. It is situated on Auckland's North Shore, a short car or taxi ride from the center of the city.

The devastating earthquakes experienced by Christchurch in 2010/11 saw the end of the city's most successful swingers club, Club SE. Tawse Manor picked up the pieces by offering regular events that cater mainly to couples. The premises are located in a private homestay in North Canterbury, about 30 minutes from the center of Christchurch. It also offers accommodation and meals in an adult-themed environment. Couples and single females have open admission, and single males are admitted by prior arrangement. Tawse Manor closed in January to move to Dunedin, five hours south of Christchurch.
