Huntsville Celebrates the New Year

It is time to say goodbye to 2012 and hello to a brand new year in 2013. I hope you have all your goals and resolutions made for the coming year. If you'd like to go out on the town to celebrate New Year's Eve, here are some places you might want to check out. Be sure and make your reservations early, though, because space is limited in most of these facilities.

The headline show will be one north Alabama’s country favorites throughout the 70’s and 80’s club scene, Bobby Brooks, whose hit song “Huntsville Lights” is still being played on classic country radio stations such as 105.7 Hartselle with Carol Lynn. Other segments of the entertainment lineup confirmed so far includes Conway Twitty tribute artist Brad Caswell and Willie Nelson tribute artist Wayne Abbot, with female vocalist Lacey Snider and additional special guests.     This year there is no cover charge to get into Hoppers, where the party will be hosted by a DJ. Steak dinner for 2 for $25. Hotel package is $99 for 1 night stay and breakfast next morning.

    Sammy T's and 104.3 WZYP present this year's party. Come out for the biggest New Year's Eve celebration in the south!     Free...4:30-11PM in Big Spring Park. Featuring a total of 200 small trees, 4 large flagship trees at each entrance & the city of Huntsville's tree in the center of the trail. Trees will line the sidewalk & be fenced in, so the trail will be fully paved. The trees will be lit every night including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & New Year's Eve.
