Annapolis Children's Museum returns this year with their “Awesome Children's Fun Time” starting the day at 3 p.m. Be sure to stay for the 7:30 p.m. fireworks. The celebration continues with "Dancing Under the Stars" when the Big Band sounds begin at 8 p.m. and lead to a countdown to the New Year and midnight fireworks.

Located in Bethesda, just 30 minutes northwest of Washington, D.C., this jazz club is putting on a bluesy New Year’s Eve bash. The evening includes live performances by go-go musician E.U. as well as DJs and live broadcasts from MAJIC 102.3 and 92.7-FM. VIP tables will receive a free bottle of champagne, party favors, and front-row seats to the midnight balloon drop. There's also a discount hotel package at the nearby Hilton Garden Inn if you'd like a crash pad for the night.

Running from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., the party includes 15 themed party areas encompassing the ballroom complex of the resort as well as five dance floors, an extensive line-up of bands and DJs, party favors, food and beverage buffets, midnight celebrations, and more.
Swing in the New Year with music, party favors, dessert, and a sparkling cider midnight toast. Mitch Woods and His Rocket 88's are set to perform American swing classics inspired by the big bands of the '40s. The event will be held from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. in the Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 after December 23, 2018.
