Houston and its surrounding areas are replete with New Year's Eve celebrations. There are hotel parties, wine tasting parties, hipster parties, murder mystery parties, and just regular ol' party parties. Have a look below to find one that's right for you.

New Year's Eve at CityCentre

Stroll around CityCentre to hop from one party to another at the area's many bars and restaurants. Live bands will be playing throughout the night, and come midnight, there will be an epic confetti drop.

The event goes from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., but if that is that past your bedtime, CityCentre also hosts a Noon Year's Eve with tons of kid-friendly events and activities, as well as a DJ and noon hour bubbles. While parking costs about $10, both events are free and open to the public.

Sugar Land Town Square

While the city of Sugar Land no longer hosts its own annual New Year's Eve party, the businesses in the town's main square offer a smorgasbord of activities. From painting under black lights, to jazz brunches, to bar specials, mix and match your favorites to ring in the new year.

New Year's Eve Fireworks Dinner Cruise

Make this new year an unforgettable one aboard Clear Lake' s own FantaSea yacht. The $175 per person price tag affords you a gourmet meal, appetizers and plenty of music, as well as tiaras, champagne toasts and — of course — party favors. Boarding is from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., and the cruise goes until 12:30 a.m. Discounts are available for those in the military and adults aged 55 and older.

New Year's Eve Family Celebration at Kemah Boardwalk

If you haven't had a chance to check out one of Houston's top attractions, New Year's Eve is a great time to do it. Bring the whole family out to Kemah for music, fireworks and kid-friendly activities. Fireworks start at 10 p.m.

New Year's Eve Celebration at The Houstonian

The Houstonian Hotel runs a special each New Year's that includes a luxury dinner, sparking wine, and a champagne toast, as well as accommodations and brunch the next day.

The price tag runs upwards of $650, but everything is included, and it's cozier than other parties out there. Not a bad way to ring in the new year.

Westin Hotel Memorial City

For a more budget-friendly hotel experience, the Westin Hotel in Memorial City offers a free public event from 8 p.m. - 1 a.m. that includes live music and a complimentary toast at midnight, as well as cocktail specials and party favors. You don't have to stay the night, but if you'd like to, the hotel also has a New Year's Eve special, complete with breakfast and a late check-out.

The Square at Memorial City

If you don't mind braving the elements a little, this outdoor celebration has Dick Clark on the jumbo screen, popcorn and a whole lot of New Year's Eve swag. The event takes place from 9 p.m. - midnight, near Maggiano's and The Cheesecake Factory just off of Gessner Road. Families can also partake in a Noon Year's Eve from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., featuring a balloon drop, lemonade toast and a DJ.
