New Mexico State Fair Special Theme Days

Every Day Offers a New Experience

The annual New Mexico State Fair brings thousands of visitors through its entryway each year. No matter how many times you may go, the fair always does a few things differently so there's a new show or spectacular to participate in each year. The food often remains the same, but there are always added goodies that become that year's popular treat to eat. And the fair also has the same exhibits and specials each year so that visitors can go back to their favorites, such as the baking competition, the quilts or the Lego models, which change each year with different competitors.

Main Street Theme Days at the New Mexico State Fair

Every year, the New Mexico State Fair has special theme days. You’ll be sure to find one that is just what you’re looking for. The theme day events and special activities take place along Main Street, which is the largest, longest street in the fairgrounds. Main Street fills up with special car shows, such as the Model A's Model T's, Early Ford Flathead V* and classic tractor day, where cars and tractors line up along the street. Fairgoers get to see what the cars look like up close, and sometimes the car's owner is nearby for anyone who might have questions.
