NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo 2018 in Washington, D.C.



The NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo in Washington, D.C. has traditionally been held in January. In 2018, the Expo celebrates its 25th anniversary and will be moved to March and expanded to accommodate a larger crowd. The Health Fair will provide free health screenings, fun activities and information on products and services that relate to healthy living. There is a Healthy Cooking Stage, a Healthy Kids Stage, a variety of workout presentations, a Healthy Book Festival, a Yoga Stage with plenty of practice space and instruction, a Changing Minds Pavilion with a focus on mental health and behavioral wellness practices and much more. This is an engaging winter event with activities for all ages and a great way to get inspired to be active throughout the year.

Dates and Times: March 10-11, 2018, Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Location: Washington Convention Center, 801 Mount Vernon Place (At 9th and 7th Sts.), NW

Fitness Activities and Dance Demonstrations

The NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo offers fun activities to motivate you to take charge of your health. Try a new sport such as golf, skiing or dancing. The show includes lots of hands-on activities for all ages. Demonstrations include Kung Fu & Self Defense, Cardio Strength Training, Grooversize, Nia Technique, The Bollywood Workout, The Yala Workout, Fitness for the Older Adult and more.

Visitors can donate blood at the Children's Hospital Bloodmobile at the NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo in Washington DC. Speakers will also be making presentations on topics such as "Smart Ways to Manage Weight and Prevent Diabetes", " Getting the Best Care for Your Elderly Loved Ones," Concussions and Kids - What You Need to Know" and more.
