Intrepid Travel launched a new series of tours that will showcase the beauty of our national parks in this centennial year.

The National Parks Service was founded in 1916 by Congress. Yellowstone was the nation’s first national park. It was founded in 1872 and was managed by the federal government until the National Parks Service was created. There are now 59 national parks in the country.
