Nassau and Paradise Island Golf (Bahamas): Nassau and Paradise Island are basically one and the same: Nassau is the capital city of The Islands of The Bahamas - Paradise Island adjoins Nassau. This island pair maintains a distinct blend of international glamor and tropical ease, giving travelers freedom to do everything or nothing at all. Golf is one of Nassau and Paradise Island's main attractions.

Nassau is the home of the Bahamian national capital, the bustling hub of The Islands Of The Bahamas that traces its heritage back to the shipwrecking days of the legendary pirate Blackbeard. Prized for its sheltered harbor, the city made history and preserved it beautifully in colonial mansions, cathedrals, and 18th-century fortresses. There's plenty to see and do. Be sure to check out the Queen's Staircase whose 66 steps lead to a view not to be missed.

Cable Beach, a 10-mile stretch of glittering sand and emerald ocean, is the jewel of New Providence. And it's here that we'll find one of finest golf courses in the Bahamas - TPC at Baha Mar, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design. The property is located at the $3.5 billion Baha Mar development in Nassau

Paradise Island:

The 685 acres of Paradise Island are connected to the city of Nassau by two spectacular 600-foot bridges. The island is developed almost exclusively to accommodate travelers, with resorts, hotels, restaurants, shops, a golf course, an aquarium, and a casino rounding out the amenities. Paradise Island is home to Atlantis, a $600 million resort that has no equal anywhere in the world. Atlantis also boasts one of the World's Top 10 best beaches. Very few private residences exist on the island.

Where to Play Golf in Nassau and Paradise Island

Beyond New Providence and Paradise Islands there several more choices for where to stay and play Golf in the Bahamas.

How to Get There:

The Islands of the Bahamas are served by two international airports: Nassau International Airport and Grand Bahama International Airport. These two airports are served by almost all of the US domestic airlines as well as airlines from Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe.

Travel to the Out Islands of the Bahamas is achieved via Bahamasair. Bahamasair offers regular scheduled service to the Abacos, Exumas, and most of the smaller inhabited islands.

Travel to the Abacos and The Exumas can also be achieved via the Fast Ferry from Potter’s Cay in Nassau – daily scheduled service is available. This is a great way to visit the Out Island. I highly recommend it.

Rental cars are readily available at both international airports.

I have been traveling to, and writing about, the Islands of the Bahamas for more than 25 years. The Bahamas are my own, personal favorite vacation destinations. I love the emerald waters, the glittering white sands, the friendly people, and the overall feeling of well-being. I have NEVER had a bad experience anywhere in the Bahamas. I never miss a chance to hop on a plane and travel between these most beautiful of islands. I truly hope that you enjoy your visit to the Bahamas as much as I always have.
