  • She is a budding francophile who is currently studying the French language and culture.

Nasha has been travel writing for over six years. She is a food traveler who seeks destinations with a strong food culture, vineyard and brewery tours, and a KFC outside of the Caribbean that serves a good biscuit. Her work highlights underrepresented groups.

She got her first taste of journalism as a writer for her undergraduate campus newspaper, The Gramblinite. Nasha was awarded the National HBCU Student News Media Award for Best Sports Feature for her efforts as voted on by the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, and Washington Post. In 2012, she was hired as a journalist for a local paper in St. Lucia before being promoted to editor of a sports and health magazine. She also served as an entertainment magazine reporter and editor, covering internationally renowned jazz festivals, carnival events, and up-and-coming artists. In addition, she was a regular contributor to SHE Caribbean Magazine, a women's magazine distributed in over 30 countries, and Tropical Traveler, the Caribbean's premier travel magazine, where she wrote activity and restaurant reviews. Her work as a freelancer has landed Nasha bylines in Lonely Planet, Thrillist, Business Insider, InStyle, Forbes, Sports Illustrated, Observer, and many more.

Nasha has extensive experience in the travel and hospitality industry. As a passenger service agent for a ground handling company, she represented various airlines like Virgin Atlantic and American Airlines. She worked for a tourist destination company where she conducted site inspections with tour operators and as a coordinator for a destination wedding company. Nasha has handled premium hospitality and events for celebrities and guests at high ticket sporting events, including the U.S. Open, MLS Cup, MLS SuperDraft, and MLB Playoffs.

She is a significant proponent of immersive study abroad experiences. Her international education journey started in 2007 at Grambling State University in rural Louisiana. As a student at Texas Christian University, she won a Global Outlook Fellowship to conduct education research in Europe. She enjoyed afternoon tea at the British Museum between university visits and homemade battered fish and chips at Kings Arms Oxford. She explored the rich history of wine production in the cradle of German wine culture, Trier. A second master's degree included stints living in Wales, the Czech Republic, Spain, Greece, and Italy.

Nasha graduated summa cum laude, with the highest average in her department, from Grambling State University with a bachelors' degree in mass communication and a minor in French. She followed that up with a master's degree in strategic communication from Texas Christian University and graduated with distinction from Swansea University with a master's degree in sports ethics and integrity. Nasha also holds a certificate in women's entrepreneurship from Cornell University and another in hospitality management from Florida Atlantic University.
