Myrtle Beach, known for its year round live entertainment scene in addition to miles of ocean beaches along the famous Grand Strand, gets into the spirit of the holiday season each year. Each November and December, you'll find festive Christmas-themed shows,  holiday variety shows, live Nativity scenes and more. There's something to do for all ages.

    Celebrating Christmas in grand style, this award-winning show debuted in 1985 as the first nightly Christmas special on the Grand Strand. Popular holiday classics, new seasonal favorites, plus comedy, dance and dazzling costumes offer fun for all ages.

    For 2019, "The Christmas Show of the South," will feature the legendary Moses Braxton, known for his smooth baritone voice. Joining Moses in 2019 is Kym “Bogie” Shurbutt, the Carolina Opry’s original comedian along with a cast of over 35 musicians, singers, and dancers.

    This beloved Myrtle Beach holiday tradition is the only show that has won every major South Carolina Tourism award including the Governor's Cup and Most Outstanding Attraction.

    The Alabama Theatre presents an award-winning show combining talented performers with festive scenery and special effects for a family-friendly holiday extravaganza.

    This year’s show features a new holiday musical experience with a combination of traditional Christmas classics and contemporary holiday favorites. Featured will be comedian Ricky Mokel along with holiday singers and dancers.

    Captain Scrooge and the mystical Spirit of Christmas travel to the past, present, and future of Buccaneer Bay. During this Christmas-themed journey, they encounter such wonders as Christmas toys that come to life and a beautiful live Nativity, complete with wise men and live animals. A four-course holiday feast tops off the show.

    The Palace Theatre presents A Christmas Wonderland with glittering costumes, Christmas Songs and high kicking chorus girls. Santa and his elves take you on a journey of Christmas cheer. There's even a  floating ice pond lowered to the Palace Theatre stage. Enjoy traditional holiday songs and family fun.

    Located adjacent to Planet Hollywood at Broadway at the Beach, "Legends In Concert" is an internationally acclaimed celebrity tribute show, featuring live artists portraying such music legends as Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, Neil Diamond, Whitney Houston, the Blues Brothers, and many other celebrities, offering appeal to music lovers of all ages.

    The castle is decorated for the holidays and on select Fridays and Saturdays in December, enjoy pre-show holiday-themed entertainment at this arena dinner show, featuring a "Middle Ages Experience," complete with knights, pageantry, jousting, magnificent Andalusian stallions, colorful costumes, an original music score, and more.

    In addition to live music and dinner theaters, Myrtle Beach's Brookgreen Garden lights up with "Nights of a Thousand Candles," where you can walk through the soft glow of more than 4,500 hand-lit candles and tons of sparkling lights. Open for viewing 3—10 p.m., you'll enjoy meandering through the gardens with a cup of cider and the sounds of musicians and carolers.
