Since its founding in 1909, the goal of the Houston Museum of Natural Science has been to educate the public with knowledge in natural science and related subjects. The HMNS features a variety of interesting and interactive displays and is an ideal stop for families visiting the Houston Area.

If you happen to be heading to Houston or Southeast Texas, you can't pass up an opportunity to visit the San Jacinto Monument and San Jacinto Battleground - the very place where Texas gained its independence.The field where Sam Houston led the Texan army to a decisive victory over the Mexican Army in 1836 has now been preserved as a State Historic Site.

USS Texas

A veteran of both World Wars, the Battleship Texas is now moored at the San Jacinto Historical Site, where it is open for tours to the public. Since it is located adjacent to the San Jacinto SHS, visitors have an opportunity to visit two great pieces of Texas history in one stop.

Museum of Fine Arts - Houston

Opened in 1924, the Houston's Museum of Fine Arts was the first art museum in Texas and the third in the American South. With over 300,000 square feet of display space and 18 acres of gardens, it remains one of the largest art museums in the United States and welcomes over 2.5 million visitors each year.
