The Alsatia Mummers Parade has been a tradition in Hagerstown, Maryland since 1921. The parade is held each year on the Saturday before Halloween and features floats representing local clubs and organizations, high school marching bands and costumed mummers. The Alsatia Club is a community organization in Hagerstown, Maryland that dates back to 1911. The club began as a boys club and has evolved over the years to sponsor a wide range of charity organizations, including little league baseball and basketball teams. The annual Alsatia Mummers Parade honors outstanding citizens by naming them to be honorary grand marshals of the parade.
