Mother’s Day is fast approaching, which means it’s high time to make dinner reservations for a special day in the city with Mom. Brunch buffet at Aura will feature a wide variety of unique favorites including cake Benedict, quiche Lorraine, leek and truffle quiche, and chicken apple sausage. The dessert buffet will include a chocolate fountain. Brunch runs from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Beehive guests can choose from two prix-fixed options for Mother’s Day. Menu items include apple cinnamon breakfast bread pudding, ham and spring pea soup, and organic chicken piccata, all served to live jazz. The Beehive will also have a special dinner planned with a special performance by musician Bruce Bears . Brunch is from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; dinner from 4 p.m.-10 p.m.

L’Esplaier, in Boston’s Back Bay, will offer a three-course brunch menu for Mother’s Day. Last year’s menu included butter poached Maine lobster, wood roasted Amish chicken, and roasted halibut.

Stunning views of the city below will be on display at the height of the Prudential Tower, with special brunch options including crabmeat cake, a Maine lobster and rock shrimp omelets, and a scrod haddock au gratin. Brunch runs from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Avila’s prix fixe menu for Mother’s Day includes a choice of four starters and seven entrees. Avila will also have special $12 Veuve Clicquot cocktails (orange, peach, and pomegranate) or $50 bottles.
Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse – 75 Arlington St., 617-357-4810
Indulge Mom in one of Boston’s finest steakhouses this year, as Davio’s will be serving up some a la carte specials in addition to its normal menu. Some selections include banana pancakes ($13), frittata ($15), and a grilled ounce sirloin with eggs and home fries ($22).

The three-course prix-fixe meal at Fleming’s this Mother’s Day includes an appetizer, and five options for the main course, including filet mignon, and New Orleans-style French toast. The brunch also includes a $25 gift card good toward a future visit. Children have the option of a special three-course brunch including cheddar cheese omelets and chicken strips. Brunch runs from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

Mom will love the exotic options at Haru including spicy tuna, salmon tartar, and tuna ceviche for appetizers, chicken teriyaki, assorted sushi, and spicy crab mango roll for entrees, and cheesecake tempura for dessert. The specials run until 11 p.m.
