Carnavalesque NYE 2018: Moulin Rouge Rings in the New Year
Carnavalesque NYE 2018: Moulin Rouge
Rarely a dull moment there is at Carnavalesque, Montreal's flagship kink New Year's Eve event. A costume party, NYE bash and BDSM-friendly gathering in one, every year features a new theme. Last year's was an art deco underwater theme and the year before that was Star Wars, but for Carnavalesque's 2018 NYE edition, it's "the belle époque of Parisian style exuberance marked by the opening of the Moulin Rouge, which epitomized the spirit of progress along with the culturally transgressive cabaret, with pleasure and beauty as the central principles."
Meat hook performances, circus acrobatics, gogo dancing, BDSM theatrics, Cirque de Boudoir, the team behind Carnavalesque, promises its "sexiest edition yet!"
If you've never been to a Cirque de Boudoir event, let's just say cosplay won't be getting much kinkier than this. Music generally leans toward 120 to 130 BPM tech house, bass, industrial, and the like.
Carnavalesque runs December 31, 2017 from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. in the confines of Bain Mathieu, a public bath originally opened in Montreal's East End in 1931 since converted into a performance hall.
Regular admission ranges from $45 to $60 and includes one free drink. VIP tickets range from $95 to $120 and includes open bar all night, VIP coat check, and access to VIP areas. VIP packages for groups of 4 to 20 with reserved tables and bottle service available on advanced request. Buy tickets.
