Monique Perrin is an accredited editor and a freelance travel and arts writer. Her work has been published in the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, New Zealand Herald, and more. She's contributed to over a dozen Lonely Planet guidebooks, covering Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, India and Tibet,


Monique grew up in Sydney and fell in love with travel early. She worked in communications for the United Nations Development Programme in Sri Lanka and the Maldives before joining Lonely Planet as an editor and guidebook writer. Monique has covered over a dozen destinations for Lonely Planet including Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, India, and Tibet. Her work has been broadcast or published by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, New Zealand Herald, Bangkok Post, and the South China Morning Post.


Monique has a degree in Communications from the University of Technology Sydney and studied writing at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and the University of Canberra. She is an accredited editor with the Institute for Professional Editors in Australia and New Zealand.
