But, like the rest of the Midwest, the state also boasts an impressive number of indoor water park resorts. They offer climate-controlled, year-round fun. Let's run them all down. Minnesota water parks are arranged alphabetically. Regency Hotel Management Company The Big Splash Indoor Water Park at the Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria A medium-sized indoor water park, the Big Splash is open to resort guests as well as the general public. Attractions include tube slides, a body slide, a whirlpool spa, a children's play fort with a tipping bucket, and a lazy river. In the winter, the park is open Friday through Sunday. In the summer, it is open seven days a week. The Arrowwood Resort also offers golf, a marina, a spa, a conference center, and four restaurants. Bunker Beach Bunker Beach in Coon Rapids Bunker Beach is a small, municipal, outdoor water park. Activities include a wave pool, six water slides, a lazy river, an interactive kids' pool, a zero-depth pool, and sand volleyball. Cascade Bay in Eagan Cascade Bay is a medium-sized, outdoor water park operated by the city of Eagan. Rides include a lazy river, body slides, tube slides, and kiddie slides. The park also offers mini-golf. ZMC Hotels The Edge Indoor Water Park at the Edgewater Resort in Duluth The Edge is a medium-sized indoor water park resort that is open to registered hotel guests. The resort also offers group rates to the general public for parties and other functions. Activities include body slides and tube slides, a Vortex Pool with a variable speed current, a spa, and an interactive water play center. Great Wolf Resorts Great Wolf Lodge in Bloomington Part of the Great Wolf Lodge chain of indoor water park resorts, the location in Bloomington used to be called Water Park of America. It is located across from the Mall of America. The large park is open to registered guests of the hotel and also offers day passes. Features include a surfing simulator ride, tube and body water slides, an interactive water play structure, a family raft ride, hot tub spas, and a lazy river. In addition to the water park attractions, the resort offers an arcade, a ropes course, bowling, and a climbing wall, City of New Ulm New Ulm Water Park in New Ulm The indoor, municipal water park opened in 2021. Among its attractions are water slides, a whirlpool, and a pool for recreation and lap swimming, The recreation center also includes a climbing wall and an indoor playground with a climbing structure. Nisswa Family Fun Water Park in Nisswa This is a small, outdoor water park that offers three slides, a wading pool, and two hot tubs. Paul Bunyan Water Park in Baxter Despite the huge size of its legendary namesake, the Paul Bunyan Waterpark is medium-sized for indoor parks. It is open to guests staying at The Arrowwood Lodge at Brainerd Lakes (and admission is included in the room rates) as well as non-resort guests. Features include a lazy river, tube slides, body slides, kiddie slides, and an interactive play structure. The facility also includes an arcade, sand volleyball, horseshoes, and a zipline. Rapid River Lodge Waterpark Rapid River Lodge Waterpark in Baxter The Rapid River Lodge offers a small indoor water park, which is open to the public as well as guests of the Comfort Suites in which it is located. Features include tube slides, body slides, a lazy river, water basketball, a sauna, and a hot tub. River Springs Water Park in Owatonna A small, municipal, outdoor water park, River Springs offers a body slide, an activity pool, a lazy river, a lily pad walk, a tube slide, a pool, and a climbing wall. Seven Clans Casino Seven Clans Casino/Hotel and Waterpark in Thief River Falls Seven Clans offers a medium-sized indoor water park that is open to the public and guests of the Seven Clans Hotel. Activities include tube and body water slides, a lazy river, a tipping bucket, a wading pool, and two hot tubs. Cedar Fair Entertainment Soak City in Shakopee Soak City is a large outdoor water park that is included in the general admission to the amusement park, Valleyfair. Among its many attractions are speed slides, a family raft ride, a lunch capsule body slide, a long lazy river, and activities for young children. Valleyfair also offers dry rides such as roller coasters. Three Bear Waterpark at the Holiday Inn Express in Baxter Three Bear is a small indoor water park resort that is open to the public as well as Holiday Inn guests. Attractions include a tipping bucket, a tube slide, a body slide, spas, activity pool, and activities for young children. City of Shoreview The Tropics in Shoreview The Tropics is a small, municipal indoor water park open to the general public with discounted rates for residents of Shoreview. Attractions include the "Shark Attack" water slide on which riders can choose a song to play and experience a light and music show and Bamboo Bay, an interactive water play center. Venetian Indoor Water Park at the Holiday Inn Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove The Venetian is a small indoor water park that is open to registered hotel guests. It is also available for private functions. Activities include two water slides, a kiddie slide, water basketball, a lily pad walk, a wading pool, and a hot tub. Wild Mountain in Taylors Falls Wild Mountain is a good-sized outdoor waterpark located at at the Wild Mountain ski resort. Attractions include the Big Country inner-tube ride, Black Hole speed slide, a lazy river, and a kids' area. Holiday Inn Wild Woods Indoor Water Park at Elk River/Rogers Holiday Inn in Elk River Wild Woods is a medium-sized indoor water park resort open to Holiday Inn guests as well as the general public.
