Miami is home to a host of malls and upscale boutique shops suiting any personal style or budget. Bargain hunters love searching for deals at outlet malls and factory stores.
You can shop 'til you drop in Miami because there are several outlet malls full of factory stores and discount outlets offering steep discounts on quality clothing, accessories, and gifts. Many of the malls have become destinations in themselves with entertainment, dining venues, and even a farmer's market added to the mix of businesses.
Dolphin Mall, located just west of Miami International Airport, is one of the most popular places to shop in the region. It has more than 200 retail outlets and name-brand discount stores, such as Bloomingdale’s, Gap, Coach, Neiman Marcus, Polo, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Tommy Hilfiger.
There is also a dine-in Cinebistro movie theater with stadium seating and many restaurants to choose from on-site. When hunger strikes, dig into some sushi at Kona Grill, hearty pasta at Brio Tuscan Grille, sweet crepes or a baguette at Apropo, Argentinean meals at Milanezza, a steak cooked to perfection at Texas de Brazil and American classics alongside a family-friendly arcade at Dave & Buster's.
Famous for its factory outlet stores, Sawgrass Mills Mall offers great bargains and outstanding dining opportunities (including a California Pizza Kitchen, Villagio, Yard House and more). It is located in Broward County about 30 minutes north of Miami. Outlets include Tommy Bahama, Armani, Burberry, and Kate Spade.
Ready for a break from shopping? Catch a flick at the Regal Sawgrass Stadium & IMAX. Or grab a pretzel at Auntie Anne's, or opt for something a little more upscale at Zinburger Wine and Burger Bar.
Don't be fooled. Vero Beach is more than two hours away from Miami. If you’re willing to drive the 140 miles north to Vero Beach, you can spend the day flexing plastic at the Vero Beach Fashion Outlets. Why not make a day out of it? Road trip?
This outdoor location features outlet stores from Ann Taylor, Brooks Brothers, Adidas to Calvin Klein, Reebok, and a GAP Factory. Pack a swimsuit, or maybe just pick one up while shopping so you can catch some rays before heading back to Miami or your next destination.
Roughly 45 minutes south of Miami, this center (formerly known as Prime Outlets Florida City) is easily accessible to Miami residents. It is located at the end of Florida’s Turnpike, where it meets with U.S. 1. The beautiful palm tree-lined outdoor mall features about 50 outlets, such as Tommy Hilfiger, Coach, American Eagle, Levi's, and Perfumania.
If you get hungry, there are just a few eateries to choose from including Inka's Grill and La Churrasqueria. There is also a children's play area for the kiddos to let off some steam in between shops.
If you’re looking for appliances, tools, hardware, or other Sear's merchandise, you may want to check out the Sears Outlet Store in the Medley/Hialeah area, about 25 minutes west of downtown Miami. It is the only Sears Outlet Store in the region and though there's not much else in the area shopping-wise, you can satiate your food cravings down the street in Doral, where there are a few breweries (and food trucks) to choose from.
If you're looking for a one-stop-shop, check out the Walmart locations in the area.
