Miami Beach may very well be the world capital of gay circuit parties, and the grand dame of all these events is Miami White Party Week, which was begun in 1984 and is organized by Florida's most noted HIV/AIDS service organization, Care Resource. This week-long fundraiser of truly sensational, high-voltage parties takes place each year in late November in South Beach. The dates for 2016 are November 25 through November 28. If you've never been to a gay circuit party, or haven't yet attended this one, it's well worth adding this to your travel calendar - ardent revelers would never miss the White Party.

The events during this hugely attended week of parties and gatherings are always interesting and draw plenty of talented performers and DJs.

Details for this year's events were not yet available as of this writing, so check back here for updates. In the meantime, here's a look back at last year's celebration:

Festivities kicked off with the opening White Journey Party on Thursday, at Heart Nightclub and featuring DJ Manny Lehman, the White Splash pool party on Saturday at the Aloft South Beach Hotel, and the famed White Party itself, which took place Saturday night on a stunning 110-foot Grand Floridian mega yacht, which set sail from the North Dock at Bayfront Park for a magnificent cruise and featured DJ Roland Belmares. Here's a full calendar of Miami White Party events.

Note that as of this writing, rooms were still available at the historic National Hotel in South Beach and Aloft South Beach, which are the host venues this year for the Miami White Party.
