2017 Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show in Washington, DC

The Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show is a consumer event focusing on food and entertaining with more than 400 exhibitors including specialty food companies, caterers, party planners, personal chefs, kitchen planners and appliance manufacturers. The Washington, DC show will include appearances and cooking demonstrations by award-winning local and national chefs. The show will also include national and regional cookbook authors, demonstrations ranging from knife skills to holiday entertaining, a beer, wine and spirits pavilion featuring local mixologists and much more.

Saturday: 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Grand Tasting 12:30-3 p.m.

Location

Adults - $21.50
Children ages 4-12 - $10
Children 4 and under - free.

General admission includes access to the James Beard Celebrity Chef cooking demos (with demonstrations by Tom Colicchio, Jacques Pepin and Duff Goldman), Taste Talk presentations, onsite bookstore, and vendor marketplace with 250+ specialty food companies. Grand Tasting (Sunday afternoon) $56 (includes admission to the exhibit floor as well)

Participating restaurants include: &pizza, Carluccio's, Carmine's, CIRCA, Dino's Grotto, District Doughnut, Dolci Gelati, Drift on 7 th , El Centro, Foode, Guy Fieri's Baltimore Kitchen & Bar, Hanks Pasta Bar, Indigo Landing, J. Gilbert's Wood-Fired Steaks & Seafood, Kona Grill, Lavagna, Masa 14, Medium Rare, Moorenko's, Nage Bistro, Olivia Macaron, Ottoman Taverna, Tabard Inn, The Fourth Estate, The Upper Crust Pizzeria, Toro Toro and Zengo

Celebrity Chef Appearances

At the James Beard Foundation Cooking Stage will be an all-star lineup, including Fieri, Andrés, and RAMMY award-winners and local DC area chefs including Erik Bruner-Yang, Maketto; Vikram Sunderam, Rasika and Bindaas and Amy Brandwein, Centrolina, along with other regional Beard honored winners and nominees. In addition, chefs from L’Academie de Cuisine will lead hands on cooking classes.
