You can certainly find live Christmas and holiday trees at pop-up tents and vendors along busy roads and streets in Memphis. While these vendors offer convenience, it's not the same as cutting down your own Christmas tree in Memphis.
Take the whole family to visit one of the Mid-South's area Christmas Tree Farms. You can start a fun and memorable tradition!
Located in Bartlett, Priddy Farms offers a variety of choose-and-cut trees including Virginia Pine, White Pine and Leyland Cypress. In addition to choose-and-cut, pre-cut trees, garlands, and wreaths are also available. At this writing, the cost for a choose-and-cut tree is $50 and a saw will be provided to you.
You can also buy pre-cut trees up to 11.5 feet tall.
They also sell wreaths, garlands, and mantle pieces and sometimes have a photographer you can make appointments with to have family photos made.

Hours during holiday season are Monday - Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. There are special hours on Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

The Merry Christmas Tree Farm in Nesbit has been in business since 1990, offering choose-and-cut Leyland Cypress, plus pre-cut live Fraser Firs and Blue Spruce sourced from North Caroline. They also offer wreaths, silk arrangements, swags, mantel pieces, collectible ornaments, tree stands, and christmas decorations from all over the world.
They're located five miles south of Goodman Road and just 30 miles from Memphis. After your tree is cut and mechanically shaken (to rid the tree of loose needles) and the staff at Merry help you load it onto your vehicle, you can enjoy free coffee and hot apple cider, free hay rides for the kids,

Cedar Hill Farm:
Cedar Hill Farm in Hernando, Mississippi, grows a variety of holiday trees, including Leyland Cypress, Murray Cypress, and Blue Ice Trees. They claim that the Leylands are hypo-allergenic and do not shed. They also have pre-cut Fraser Firs. They're open from November 20 through December 22 in 2017 (closed on Thanksgiving).
The tree sizes range from 5 feet to twelve feet tall. Tree prices are $9-$10 per foot. You can have them cut it for you or you can take the sea and do it yourself. There's also a playground, gift store, and snack bar open daily, plus a chicken show, petting zoo, train rides, and santa on weekends and Black Friday
Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
