Memphis Area 4th of July Events

In celebration of our country's independence, the Memphis and the Mid-south area have numerous events for the whole family. 

These listings will be updated as information becomes available. I Love Memphis and Choose 901 post annual Independence Day events guides on their websites as well. 

  • Great American Family Picnic and Fireworks
    Bring a picnic and flock to the lawn of Bellevue Baptist Church for an Independence Day celebration. The event feature funs, food vendors, and fireworks.
    • Bartlett Fireworks Extravaganza
      This celebration is usually held Bobby K. Flaherty Municipal Center at Highway 79 and Appling Road from 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. the evening and includes live music, family activities, a car show, and food vendors. Fireworks usually begin at 9:30.
    • Collierville Independence Day Celebration
      Collierville's celebrates 4th of July every year with an event featuring entertainment, food, games, and an exciting fireworks display. The event is usually held at H.W. Cox Park located at 350 W. Powell Road in Collierville.
    • Flag City Freedom Celebration
      Held annually at Navy Lake in Millington, this celebration features food, fireworks and performances by the Navy Band. Admission is $5 per car and the festivities begin around 5 p.m.
    • Germantown Fireworks Extravaganza
      This family friendly celebration includes food, fireworks, and music every year. The fun starts at 5:00 p.m. at Municipal Park and fireworks usually begin at 9:10pm.
    • Independence Day in Olive Branch
      The annual July 4th "Celebrate Your Independence" event at the Olive Branch City Park lets you bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy food, games, and fun!
    • Mud Island Independence Day Celebration
      This is the big one. Head down to Mud Island for a day of food, rides, games, live music, and of course, fireworks. The fireworks are scheduled to begin at sundown, and are visible from rooftops downtown, including the Peabody Hotel and Madison Hotel. There may be a cover charge at those venues.
    • Redbirds Home Game
      Celebrate your independence at a Memphis Redbirds game. The Redbirds almost always have a special home game celebration with fireworks during one of the games nearest to the holiday.
    • Southaven July 4th Celebration
      Southaven hosts live music, a fabulous fireworks display, and fun for the entire family. The fun starts at 7:00 and the fireworks display will begin around 9:00. The event is usually held at Snowden Grove Park.
