Marina is a freelance writer from America, currently living in Melbourne, Australia. She’s been on the road and freelancing full time since 2017. Before that, she worked as a retail reporter for Business Insider and a Food Editor at Spoon University. While she has expertise in covering various topics, her true passion lies in travel writing, as she enjoys encouraging readers to explore the world through travel stories and tips. Originally from Florida, Marina was recruited to the University of Michigan for springboard and platform diving. Here she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Political Science. During her time at Michigan, Marina wrote for the sports section of the Michigan Daily and was the managing editor of the student-athlete newsletter. She graduated in May 2015 and immediately moved to New York City to pursue a career in journalism.
