Mariette Williams

Mariette Williams is a South Florida-based writer focused on travel, home, books, and food. Her work can be found in Travel +Leisure, Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Vice, Essence, and other notable publications.

Experience

One of Mariette’s first international trips was a trip to Japan when she was in high school, where she vowed to continue traveling the world and experiencing other cultures. She has since traveled extensively throughout Canada, the United States, Europe, South and Central America, and the Caribbean. 

Mariette branched out into freelance writing and has covered food and travel journalism and has conducted interviews with many well-known authors. 

She has also written compelling stories about race, personal finance, home design, and real estate. When she is not teaching or writing, she’s at the beach, lost in a good book.

Education

Mariette has a Master’s degree in English Education from Nova Southeastern University, which has been instrumental to her teaching and writing careers.
