Make the Most of Your March Break

Most families with school-age kids make special plans of some kind for the March break. Many parents take time off from work and head for sunnier climates during the March break, with the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean as top-choice destinations. Others plan special getaways closer to home, such as to nearby ski resorts in British Columbia or enroll kids in local camps and special programs, which are offered in abundance during this period. Roads, resorts, and family-friendly attractions throughout Canada can see a surge in traffic during the spring break weeks. Schools throughout North America take spring breaks near Easter, so warm-weather vacation spots can draw especially large crowds.
