Experience Marcea has been a traveler all of her life. Taking her first international flight before the age of 1, she’s always loved seeing new places and learning about new cultures. Marcea started thinking about combing her love of travel with her love of writing when she moved from Florida to Atlanta, Georgia, and realized she’d never seen a manatee in person. That started her on a quest to become a tourist in her own town. Returning to Florida eight years later, Marcea began finding things to do that were unique to Florida. From finally seeing manatees in the wild to watching real live mermaids to kayaking through swamps and springs, Marcea realized Florida was a diverse ecoscape most had never seen. That had her putting her travel thoughts in her blog and then writing for other publications, including Samantha Brown’s Places To Love, Wanderous Affair, Love Inc, Magazine, Trips To Discover, Paddle Your State, and TinyBeans. Education Marcea is a University of Central Florida graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism (advertising/public relations) and a minor in African American studies.
