What We Like
Ample storage for beach day necessities
Folds up easily for storage
Multiple cup holders
What We Don't Like
Folding table could be a little larger
Before having my son, a trip to the beach was as simple as grabbing my bag and throwing in a few items. Fast forward to this summer with a toddler, and I feel like I’m bringing the entire house to the beach: a beach tent, chairs, snacks, drinks, towels, diapers, toys, toys, and more toys.
Loading up the car and making multiple trips to our spot on the sand was not going well for my family, so we purchased the MacSports All-Terrain Beach Wagon and gave it a go during a weekend out in Montauk. Did it store what we needed for a day on the beach? Did it hold up on the sand? Read on to see what we thought.
Setup Process: Ready to use in seconds
With the MacSports All-Terrain Beach Wagon, there is literally no setup necessary. Once you remove it from the box, take off the cover and push down to unfold the cart. That’s it! No need to attach wheels or the handle. And when it’s time to pack away, simply pull up on the tab in the middle of the wagon, and it folds back up easily.
Design: Multiple features make this a winner
This wagon measures 31.5 x 21.42 x 9.61 inches and has a weight capacity of 150 pounds. It features a powder-coated steel frame, a polyester body, four all-terrain wheels, and a telescoping handle that locks easily against the cart and can extend to different heights.
I would have loved the table to be a bit longer so as to accommodate more snacks and drinks, but that’s only if I’m being really picky.
A big plus is that the wagon has multiple areas to hold drinks. On one side, you have two mesh cup holders, and on the other is a small tray with two cup holders—perfect for a drink or even your phone. It folds away easily and even comes with a fitted cover with a handle so you can carry it from place to place.
Performance: Rides well over a rocky beach
The MacSports All-Terrain Beach Wagon held everything we needed for the beach: two folding beach chairs, a large beach umbrella, towels, a bucket of beach toys for our son, and our diaper bag backpack, which we loaded up with snacks, drinks, and more. With a bit of arranging, you can really fit a nice amount of items in there. While we didn’t put a ton of weight in the wagon, we did appreciate its forgiving weight capacity for times when we need to transport heavier items from place to place.

Our house in Montauk is about a five-minute walk to the beach, so after we loaded up the cart, I took it for a walk down to the beach and was pleased with how well it rode on sidewalks and paths and how easily I was able to go around corners. It also held up when transporting our beach gear across a sandy and somewhat rocky beach thanks to the sturdy wheels.
I loved that the handle clips to the cart, so there’s no need to worry about it laying in the sand all day or someone tripping on it. I would have loved the table to be a bit longer so as to accommodate more snacks and drinks, but that’s only if I’m being really picky—I really do love this wagon. I also appreciated how easy it was to fold the unit when not in use.

Price: Worth the spend
At over $100, this wagon may seem a bit pricey for just one weekend at the beach, but it’s definitely a good investment if you’re planning multiple trips during the summer season. Other beach wagons tend to cost around $65 on the lower end to around $150 on the higher end, so this model is a good mid-range option that’s still high quality.
MacSports All-Terrain Beach Wagon vs. Sekey Folding Wagon Cart
Checking out all other wagons for the same price, I came across the Sekey Folding Wagon Cart. It has a pretty similar look and design but can hold up to 265 pounds versus MacSports’ 150-pound capacity. It also comes with a cover and two side bottle holders, but no side table with cup holders. Plus, there is a bit more setup required.
The winner here to me is the MacSports wagon: We love not having to put anything together, and the side table with cup holders is a great bonus. Besides, for a day at the beach, 150 pounds should be plenty.
