Visiting a Los Angeles area water park is a great way to beat the heat on a scorching summer day. Now you can also enjoy water play all year long at the new Great Wolf Indoor Water Park, which opened in Garden Grove, down the street from Disneyland in 2016.
If you're visiting Hollywood, you might actually get to cool off faster at one of the LA beaches, since all the LA water parks are a bit of a drive to even hotter areas inland, but if you're visiting other LA theme parks like Knott's Berry Farm, Disneyland or Magic Mountain, they're very close, so easy to combine from the same hotel.

Water Play Outside the Water Parks
In addition to the full on water parks, Universal Studios Hollywood has a water-play zone within the Minion-themed Super Silly Funland, where you can also don your swimsuit and get wet among all kinds of creatures that squirt you and dump water on you.
Camelot Golfland in Anaheim has miniature golf, arcades, kart racing, laser tag, bumper boats, and waterslides. Because it's a year-round facility, they have more flexibility to keep the slides open on weekends after the traditional summer season if it stays hot.
