 A TripSavvy contributor since 2019, Lori A. May is a bi-coastal writer and photographer currently based on the West Coast. She's also currently teaching a creative writing program on the East Coast. Her travel focus includes food and drink, beach resorts, and cruises.


Lori is a travel columnist at Seattle Post-Intelligencer and a freelance writer. Her work has appeared in AFAR, The Atlantic, Best Life, Business Insider, Time Out, VinePair, Writer’s Digest, and other publications. She has served in editorial roles with literary journals, and her nonfiction books have been published with Continuum and Bloomsbury.


She earned an MFA in creative writing from Wilkes University and teaches in the creative nonfiction MFA program at the University of King’s College-Halifax.
