Adelphi has won a number of awards: for the second year in a row, the university has been placed on the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. It also appeared on the U.S. News' 2013 Best Graduate Schools list for their School of Social Work and more.
The university offers a number of schools and programs including the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies, Honors College, the College of Arts and Sciences, Ruth S. School of Education, University College, Robert B. Willumstad School of Business, the School of Nursing, and the School of Social Work.
Adelphi's main campus is in Garden City, New York, but there are also centers in Manhattan, Hauppaugue and Poughkeepsie.

03 of 20Dowling College was founded in 1995, and was originally part of Adelphi College's outreach, and housed in the former W.K. Vanderbilt estate in 1962. (In 1968, Dowling was no longer affiliated with Adelphi.)
The college currently has three campuses: the original one on the former Vanderbilt property, a campus in Brookhaven, with free shuttle buses between campuses. There are also select courses taught at the Melville Center.
Dowling offers Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Business Administration undergraduate degrees. It also offers graduate degrees: Master of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Business Administration, and Doctor of Education. The college also features its School of Aviation with state-of-the-art flight emulators and planes with the latest instrumentation, and a NASA-funded airport management simulation laboratory.

The New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) hubs are located in Old Westbury and Manhattan in New York, and with global campuses in Canada, China, the MIddle East and online. There is an additional Long Island location in Central Islip.
