Every year a couple hundred thousand race fans descend on Long Beach, California for the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

The three days of racing around the streets of Downtown Long Beach include the IndyCar Series, the Super Drift Challenge, the World Challenge, so there is constant action on this street course for all three days. The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is back with two classes of the most advanced, exotic sports cars on the planet.

The SPEED Energy Stadium Super Trucks Race is also back again this year.

New this year is the retro Can-Am Challenge Race which will showcase vintage race cars from the golden age of Can-Am Racing (1966-74). Cars from makers like McLaren, Lola, Shadow and more were driven by the likes of Jim Hall, Mark Donohue, Mario Andretti, Parnelli Jones, Dan Gurney and Phil Hill!

There's also the Thunder Thursday kick-off party in Downtown Long Beach which has a new location this year, and the traditional pre-race Roar at the Shore street party in Belmont Shore on Wednesday.

In addition to what takes place on the track, there are driver autograph sessions, demonstrations, vendors, a Family Fun Zone and the Long Beach Grand Prix Lifestyle Expo all three days inside the Long Beach Sports Arena.

Friday is warm-up day, which makes it a great bargain. You still get to experience all the different cars on the track.

The first Super Trucks Race, the Can-Am Challenge and the Drift Challenge finals are on Saturday. The World Challenge, part 2 of the Super Trucks Race and the official Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach IndyCar Race all take place on Sunday.
