This facial at Rejuvena Health & Aesthetics in Scottsdale will consist of an enzyme made from plum purée, raw honey, calendula, Arctic berry and red currant along with any additional Ayurvedic and organic ingredients appropriate for my individual clients skincare needs. It also includes a complimentary consultation and a hand-mixed mask hand mixed made especially for the client’s specific skin conditions. Rejuvena’s esthetician Kimberly Smith says she formulated the Sugar Plum Perfection Facial because plums help oxygenate your skin by increasing micro-circulation, raw honey contains probiotics and trace minerals that heal your skin, Arctic berry is a rare form of an exfoliating and brightening powerhouse and will have a significant effect on texture, and ... holidays can be stressful! Appintment required, $125 for one hour treatment, good during December 2016.

A Gift That Gives Back to the Community
Southwest Human Development, Arizona’s largest nonprofit dedicated to early childhood development, held a national children’s book writing contest and published its first-ever children’s book called Up Up Up. For each copy sold, the organization will provide one to a child in need, plus proceeds from the book help fund early literacy programs in Arizona. Written by Phoebe Fox and illustrated by Michael Hale, both Valley residents, Up Up Up follows the journey of ten animals on their way up to a party on the 10th floor. As the guests board the elevator, something happens that causes them to take an unexpected detour. The simple text and humorous illustrations blend perfectly to create a charming book for very young readers (birth to age 3). Order online or pick one up in Phoenix at 2850 N. 24th Street.
