Solid Waste Pickup and Junk Removal in Little Rock

If your house looks like an episode of hoarders, you can have the city help you remove the junk. Here's the information on some cities in the metro area.

Little Rock Solid Waste

Little Rock Solid Waste will remove bulky household items places at the curbside for no additional charge. Pickups must be arranged in advance by calling 311. They may also provide dumpster-type bins upon request.

Examples of acceptable items for this collection service are: furniture, appliances, lawn furniture, and mattresses.

Examples of unacceptable items that are restricted from this pickup service are: construction and demolition debris, automotive components, liquid paint, and tires.

Electronics and household chemicals must be brought to 10001 Kanis Road, the back parking lot of the Little Rock Northwest Police Station at the corner of Jr. Deputy Road and Kanis Road on Thursdays from 7:00 a.m.to 5:30 p.m.and the first Saturday of the month from 7 a.m. to noon.

Tires can be dropped off at Solid Waste Services Administration & Landfill, 10803 Ironton Cutoff. You may drop off up to 4 daily.

Maumelle Junk Removal

Maumelle hosts Spring and Fall cleanups, during which residents can put bulky household items curbside for no additions charge. Otherwise, residents must call 501-851-2888 and schedule a Special Collection Request. The minimum charge for a special collection is about $10, maximum (larger than a trailer size load) is about $50.

Residents also have the option to bring waste to the Maumelle transfer station (425 Hyman Drive) for a small fee, which varies depending on the size of the load.
